Case study
Complex tape die-cut for LED panel
Problem
We received an inquiry from a client regarding a detail (a cut-out from double-sided adhesive tape) that was complicated due to a large number of holes for LED lights, making it practically impossible to create a tool for production due to very small distances between the holes.
Solution
We produced the detail using a multi-stage (progressive) tool. While this solution extended the production cycle, it proved to be the only way to address the problem. As this method required us to modify several dimensions, we presented the client with a drawing showing the proposed changes for approval.
Result
Thanks to the applied method, we were able to manufacture the detail with the precision required by the client (0.5 mm) without the need for drastic modifications to the detail itself. We currently apply this solution in several other projects where we encounter similar issues.
