In automotive electronics, electrically conductive tapes are used to discharge charge or ground electronic systems. Their non-woven or fabric backing reduces the weight of the finished element, and additionally ensures better adhesion and copying of complex housing shapes. In many cases, the metal housing cover can be replaced with a tape cutout. EMI/EMC absorbers and electromagnetic seals absorb harmful wavelengths, ensuring the proper functioning of electronic systems. High-temperature masking tapes with silicone adhesives are used as temporary protection of elements during the process. Bumpons secure housings and absorb vibrations, protecting sensitive control systems from mechanical damage resulting from vehicle movement.
In electronics manufacturing, high-temperature masking tapes are used to protect printed circuit board traces. Electrically conductive tapes are used for EMI shielding and charge dissipation, thermally conductive materials are responsible for cooling power modules, and bumpon pads act as spacers and protection.
In industrial automation and IoT, electrically conductive tapes provide grounding, shielding, and discharge of charges from sensitive measuring elements. The tapes are made on non-woven and fabric backings and reduce the weight of the device. Double-sided adhesive thermally conductive tapes remove heat from power modules and electronic systems by using excellent thermal conductivity properties and the unique ability to fill air gaps that block heat flow.
In energy and energy storage, thermal pads are key to cooling lithium-ion batteries, and electrically conductive tapes provide shielding and grounding for electronic devices. The exceptionally long shelf life of electrically conductive tapes (4 years) ensures that the product can be used throughout the entire life cycle of the end product.
In the consumer electronics industry, such as smartphones, laptops, and tablets, bumpons are used to cushion and protect housings. Electrically conductive tapes are used for shielding and grounding, thermal pads remove heat from processors, and PCB tapes provide masking and insulation during soldering.
In telecommunications and network infrastructure, electrically conductive tapes provide grounding for telecommunications antennas. Absorbers ensure electromagnetic compatibility between electronic systems and antennas. Conductive transparent foil can work as an antenna with a complex shape or adapt to a specific surface. It is available in the form of cut-outs and sheets for use in the production of smart glass or advanced building facade elements. Transparent foil can also be used as elements of optical systems, in combination with lightweight and flexible electrically conductive tapes, it is used in systems where low weight is a priority.
